Our Story
The story of MonkeyBug begins with me, Anissa Everett, Owner of the shop and self-titled Career Volunteer and Rockstar Mom in my previous life. With my husband, Todd, I have two kids, McKenna (my Monkey Girl), and Zac (my Love Bug), who are the inspiration behind the name MonkeyBug. While raising my kids, I spent a lot of time on my greatest passion in helping others through volunteer work. I was a volunteer Senior Advocate at Family Eldercare, A CASA (Court-Appointed Special Advocate for abused and neglected children), and delivered meals for Meals on Wheels of Central Texas, among other efforts. Now that my children have grown, I am shifting my focus to creating MonkeyBug Gifts, a place to showcase artistry and give back to the causes that are near and dear to my heart and that of the local and global community.
